Workshops

We are excited to offer small, supportive group workshops designed for soon-to-be parents, new moms, and moms with toddlers. These workshops are led by a Speech-Language Pathologist and focus on how everyday play, songs, and routines can powerfully support your child’s speech, language, play skills, and social communication.

Parents will learn what communication milestones to expect, how to recognize early signs of difficulty, and—most importantly—how to confidently use play, music, books, and daily interactions to encourage language growth at home.

Workshops are interactive, practical, and judgment-free, giving families tools they can use right away while connecting with other parents in a relaxed, nurturing environment.

Perfect for families who want to be proactive, informed, and playful in supporting their child’s communication journey.

First Connections

Our prenatal workshops are designed for soon-to-be parents who want to feel confident and prepared to support their baby’s communication from day one. Led by a Speech-Language Pathologist, these sessions focus on how early brain development, connection, and interaction lay the foundation for speech, language, and social communication—long before first words appear.

Parents will learn what matters in the first year, how bonding, responsiveness, and everyday routines support communication, and how to use songs, voice, and interaction to nurture early development. This workshop helps parents feel informed, empowered, and ready to support communication from birth.

Focus areas:
• Early communication development
• Pre-language skills and social connection
• Using voice, songs, and routines before words
• What milestones to expect in the first year

Sounds to Words (0-12 months)

Our infant workshops support parents of babies as they move from cooing and babbling toward their first meaningful words. These interactive, play-based sessions show parents how to use everyday play, songs, books, and routines to encourage early speech, language, and social interaction.

Parents will learn how to respond to sounds and gestures, encourage turn-taking, and recognize early communication milestones. The focus is on practical strategies that fit naturally into daily life—feeding, diaper changes, bath time, and play—while building strong foundations for future language.

Focus areas:
• Babbling, gestures, and early words
• Social interaction and turn-taking
• Using songs, books, and play to build language
• Understanding early communication milestones

Play and Say (12-18 months)

Our toddler workshops are designed for parents navigating the exciting stage of rapid language growth. These sessions focus on how play, songs, and shared activities can expand vocabulary, support early sentences, and strengthen social communication.

Parents will learn how to follow their child’s lead, model language naturally, encourage communication during play, and support emotional regulation through language. Workshops also cover expected milestones and when to seek extra support.

Focus areas:
• Vocabulary growth and early sentences
• Play-based language strategies
• Social communication and interaction with others
• Language milestones and early signs of concern
